In It’s Showtime, Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez shut down the fake post about her and Ogie Alcasid’s marriage.
Singer-songwriter Ogie Alcasid encountered a post about his marriage to Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez which was clearly a fake news. He was saddened by the news being spread by the owner of the page and called it out.
In a previous article, Ogie slammed the fake news and asked the public to report the said account spreading this false story about them. As much as we all know, the couple tied the knot in 2010 and up until now, they are still together with their son Nate – happier and stronger.
Recently, in an appearance in It’s Showtime, his wife Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez spoke about this and bravely dismissed the rumors but in a humorous manner. She did not like the false story being spread online about her asking for “divorce” because Alcasid betrayed her.
Accordingly, no marriage is perfect but for her, their marriage is. She did not deny that it’s difficult but those false stories just make everything about it more difficult. It seems like, for her, they were manifesting their separation when in reality, they don’t want to be separated.
“Hindi po kami maghihiwalay, ever, because we love each other,” she said.
She also refuted the rumors about her husband cheating on her as she believes that he could never do it. For one, he is God-centered. He might do a lot of things but his main focus is aligned to God and this is something she can benefit from. Being faithful to God makes him a faithful husband to her and a good father to his children.
The Asia’s Songbird added based on the video, “Nakikita niyo naman kami sa aming mga social media, we are very close, he’s my best friend.”
