Senator Jinggoy Estrada has this explanation when asked about his viral encounter with a woman who said “Porke senador kayo”.
As the eldest son of President Joseph Marcelo Ejercito Estrada and Senator Luisa Pimentel-Ejercito Estrada, his inclusion in the political arena is not a surprising thing. He is currently one of the senators of the country and in a previous article, a video of him in the middle of a heated argument with a woman went viral.
In the video, Jinggoy was told “Porke Senador Kayo?” by the woman. This incident has been recorded and as of the present, this is circulating online on various social media platforms.
The woman was heard in the video saying, “Huwag niyo akong hino-hoy. Porke Senador kayo?“
Based on a report from Radyo Inquirer, the senator explained the incident and revealed that this happened last April in Barangay Batis in San Juan City. He accordingly sent help to the fire victims, however, he was not allowed by the staff to do his intention despite their explanation and pleading.
He personally went to the location and that was where she met the woman whom he had an intense argument with. The tension elevated that it made one of the bodyguards of the senator take out a gun while he was having that argument with the unarmed woman.
The senator felt like the video was politicized as it was uploaded after he was cleared of one count of direct bribery and two counts of indirect bribery in connection with the pork barrel scam.
According to a netizen, Jinggoy would like to visit an evacuation center way past the curfew. He was being persuasive to do his intention but did not get it, hence the tension.
