Mon Confiado takes legal action against a netizen

Actor Mon Confiado filed a cybercrime complaint against his basher who fabricated a story about him.

Showbiz personalities are facing negative comments online every day of their lives. This somehow became part of their profession, especially with the presence of social media. Mon is not immune to the bashing as well. He recently encountered a netizen who created a fake story about him.

The actor shared on his Facebook page just recently a post from a certain netizen Ileiad. The netizen claimed that the actor refused when he was asked for a photo in a grocery store. The fabricated story also alleged that Mon did not pay for the chocolates he took.

Mon called out the netizen but the netizen did not delete the post. Ileiad just added a disclaimer in the post saying that the story is not true.

A few days after that, Mon Confiado started a legal battle against Ileiad, who is reportedly Jeff Jacinto, as he filed a cybercrime complaint against his basher at an NBI Cybercrime Division branch, based on the article in Inquirer.

The actor shared a post about this on his Facebook page. He said that he hopes that his action to bring this matter to the court will be a lesson to his basher. Mon also said that jokes should be done accordingly and there are things that should not be the subject of a joke.

Mon also stressed that he is not someone who will involve himself in petty fights but he was quietly doing his job and this issue surfaced. As an actor, Mon said that he taking care of his name but it was just used by someone in a fabricated story.

He also stressed that he is doing projects and there are brands that he is endorsing that might be affected by the post that the basher shared.

The actor also mentioned the basher’s “insincere apology.” For him, the apology was sarcastic and insincere. Mon Confiado also said that the basher had no remorse. He also said that the basher and his followers made fun of him. “At ngayon ikaw na ang biktima at ako na ang masama,” the actor added.
