GMA-7 Contractors Jojo Nones, Dode Cruz Deny Apologizing to Niño Muhlach

Niño Muhlach Claims GMA-7 Contractors Apologized To Him in Meeting

GMA-7 contractors Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz denied apologizing to Niño Muhlach over the allegations of his son, Sandro.

The issue between Sandro Muhlach and the “independent contractors” of the Kapuso network, Jojo Nones, and Richard “Dode” Cruz, has caught not only the attention of the public but as well as the Senate. Prior to Sandro filing a complaint, there were rumors that a young actor was taken advantage of by two executives of the network.

The Senate invited Sandro Muhlach; GMA contractors Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz; and several individuals into a hearing of the issue. The invitation of the upper chamber came after the son of Niño Muhlach has filed complaints against Nones and Cruz before the Kapuso network and the NBI (National Bureau of Investigation).

Niño Muhlach became emotional at the Senate hearing while recalling son Sandro’s alleged ordeal. Sandro and the GMA-7 contractors did not attend the Senate hearing.

According to Niño, Sandro first opened up to Alonzo about the alleged incident expressing his hope that it will not happen to his younger brother. The actor claimed that his son was shaking as he was telling him what allegedly happened.

Niño Muhlach claimed at the Senate hearing that he requested the Kapuso network for a meeting with the GMA-7 contractors involved in the issue. The actor claimed that Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz apologized to him.

Muhlach also said that he can forgive Nones and Cruz but they must pay for what was allegedly done to his son. Recently, the camp of the two (2) GMA-7 contractors reacted to the claims of the father of Sandro at the Senate hearing.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Jojo Nones and Dode Cruz’s legal counsel Attorney Maggie Abraham-Garduque said that the GMA-7 contractors denied apologizing to Niño Muhlach. The lawyer tagged the actor to be allegedly lying in his statement.

“As regards the apology, I confer with my clients and no such apology as to admission of liability that happened in the meeting. This is a complete lie,” the lawyer said.

Based on the report, the camp of the Kapuso independent contractors filed a counter-affidavit to answer the claims of Sandro Muhlach in his complaint. Nones and Cruz denied all the accusations of the son of Niño against them.

Today, the Senate hearing on the issue is set to resume. Senator Robin Padilla leads the Committee on Public Information and Mass Media that handles the inquiry about the issue.
