Young Girl Who Was Bitten by Cobra, Recovers After Being Prayed at Church
A young girl nearly died after being bitten by a cobra and reportedly recovered after being prayed in Church.
In Baybay, Leyte, an eight-year-old girl named Elna was playing outside her home when the snake bit her. Her mother, Neneta Saz, suspected that the snake was the same cobra she had seen around their house before.
Instead of taking Elna to the hospital for anti-venom treatment, Neneta decided to take her to a local church for a prayer session. The situation seemed terrible as Elna’s eyes rolled back, and her tongue began to retract.
At the church, the host preacher, Babbie Lubiano of the Jesus Miracle Crusade International Ministry, began praying over Elna, placing his hands on her head and commanding the “poison demon” to leave her body.
The initial moments of prayer seemed to improve Elna’s condition, with some visible bubbles appearing in her mouth that were thought to be poison. Despite a brief period of deterioration, the collective prayers intensified, and Elna eventually raised her hand and uttered “hallelujah,” indicating her improvement.
Neneta reported that Elna’s condition gradually improved, and she is now fully recovered and able to play again. Although there is skepticism about whether a cobra was indeed the snake that bit Elna, recent sightings and videos of a snake around their home suggest it might have been.
While some may doubt the efficacy of prayer alone, for Neneta and her family, their faith played an important role in Elna’s recovery. The experts’ views on such cases might offer further insights into the interplay between faith and medical science.
