Dennis Trillo On Alden Richards: “Parang hindi siya napapagod”

Dennis Trillo talked about working with Alden Richards

Kapuso drama king Dennis Trillo shared that his Pulang Araw co-star Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards has a different level of energy on set.

Dennis has been in the industry for more than two decades and he already worked with different stars. For his new series, he is working with Alden, Sanya Lopez, Barbie Forteza, and David Licauco.

He plays the antagonist role in this series. Previously, he said that he was excited to play the “kontrabida” character as he was mostly known for his “bida” roles. In Pulang Araw, he plays the character of  Japanese Imperial Army Col. Yuta Saitoh. It is his first major antagonist role.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Dennis Trillo shared that he is thankful to be part of this project. “Masarap ‘yung pakiramdam na makatrabaho ang mga superstars. Feeling mo ka-level ka rin nila,” he said.

Dennis also said that it was his first time working with Alden and he commended his passion and his energy on the set. “Yung energy level niya parang hindi siya napapagod, eh. Talagang ibang klase rin ang Alden Richards,” the Kapuso drama king shared.

When it comes to their younger co-stars, Sanya, Barbie, and David, Dennis said that he saw their growth. Dennis, Barbie, and David worked together in the series Maria Clara at Ibarra while he worked with Sanya in the series Cain at Abel. He specifically mentioned David who continues to do his best to improve as an actor.

When asked why Gen Z should watch their new Kapuso series, Dennis Trillo said that it is because not everyone knows what happened during the Japanese occupation, especially the younger generation. He said that people will see what happened during that time and it will make them proud to be Filipino.

Also included in the cast are Epy Quizon, Rochelle Pangilinan, Ashley Ortega, Angelu De Leon, with special participation from Rhian Ramos, and Julie Anne San Jose.
