The original post joked that lifeguards for Olympic swimmers were unnecessary because these athletes are some of the best swimmers in the world. The idea was that they were unlikely to need rescuing. However, Pastor Peej disagreed.
The pastor pointed out that even top swimmers can face problems like muscle cramps or exhaustion during competitions, which is where lifeguards come in.
Peej shared that his son, Rohi, is also a swimmer. At every competition, lifeguards are present to ensure the safety of all participants. He explained that, even though Olympic swimmers are highly skilled, unexpected situations can still occur, making the lifeguards’ role important.
The religious leader used this example to remind everyone that no matter how skilled or experienced someone is, everyone needs support and help from others. He referred to a Bible verse from Ecclesiastes that says having someone to help and support you is better than being alone.
