Gatchalian Speaks on Letter from San Roque Parish over Alice Guo’s Siblings
SAN ROQUE PARISH – Senator Sherwin Gatchalian said that the Church has no records of the baptismal of Mayor Alice Guo’s siblings.
The Guo siblings have yet to be located by the authorities. The Senate has issued an arrest order against suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo after she skipped two (2) Senate hearings.
Guo is faced with accusations of her alleged involvement in the Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in the country. Her identity is also under scrutiny after her fingerprints matched with Chinese national Guo Hua Ping’s fingerprints.
Guo Hua Ping entered the Philippines in 2003. The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has also confirmed that the fingerprints of Mayor Guo’s brother, Wesley Leal Guo, matched with the fingerprints of Chinese citizen Guo Xiang Dan.
The authorities visited all the registered addresses of suspended Bamban Mayor Alice Guo but found negative presence. Senate President Chiz Escudero previously expressed his disappointment that the PNP has yet to find Guo.
Amid a pending arrest order issued by the Senate, the camp of Mayor Guo said that she has ruled out the possibility of attending future hearings set by the upper chamber. The Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) has filed a quo warranto petition and the Senate is also mulling over the filing of a formal case against the suspended Mayor.
Recently, Senator Sherwin Gatchalian spoke anew on the investigation of the Guo siblings. Based on a report on GMA News, the Senator disclosed that San Roque Parish sent him a letter saying that they don’t hold the records of the baptism of Wesley and Seimen Guo.
The baptismal certificates of Wesley and Seimen Guo showed that their parents are Angelito Guo and Amelia Leal and they were born in Caloocan City. San Roque Parish denied issued baptismal certificates to the Guo brothers after seeing no records of their baptism.
Based on the report, Sen. Gatchalian stressed that the baptismal certificates were fake. It was issued by Antonio Alcalde. According to the Senator, a certain Lucena Flores of the Civil Registry Office in Caloocan City said that Alcalde is already dead.
“In other words, itong baptismal certificate na binigay sa Caloocan is spurious, fake. Finake nila ‘yun,” Gatchalian said.
