Vice Pres. Sara Duterte and Philippine National Police chief Rommel Marbil were hooked in an issue following the relief of the 75 cops assigned for Duterte’s security. The Vice President assured the public that it will not affect her duty.
As for the Philippine National Police, they justified the move as a way to increase police visibilit in the National Capital Region (NCR). Duterte claimed that many of her trusted men who have been her security detail for years already were recalled.
Vice Pres. Duterte stressed that Mindanao also lacks sufficient number of police. According to her, some of the recalled cops were security of his father, former Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, then.

According to Marbil, Vice Pres. Duterte is not the only government official whose number of security detail was removed. He stressed that they are ready to help in case the Presidential Security Command (PSC) will request for it.
