MOTHER LILY MONTEVERDE – Roselle Monteverde, her daughter, revealed what happened during her final moments.

Regal Films founder Lily Monteverde, fondly called as “Mother Lily” by celebrities, died at the age of 84. She passed days after her husband passed which doubled the grief of their family. However, they find relief in knowing that they are now together with the Creator. They’ve been together for decades and it seems like even death could not set them apart.

She is to turn 85 of this month but unfortunately, Mother Lily died at 3:18 AM of August 4.

Mother Lily was born on August 19, 1938 to her Filipino-Chinese parents and at such a young age, she knew already that she is meant to do greater things. Becoming a part of the Philippine film industry was the direction she wanted and the trajectory of her passion for the silver screen made her the icon that she was.

During her last moments, her daughter Roselle recalled this. According to the current Regal Entertainment, Inc. CEO, they have peace in hearts knowing that their parents are now with each other again.

She shared that after the burial of their father, they are supposed to have lunch altogether but their mother’s doctor called them. It changed the plan and they were called to go to the hospital.

Initially, they did not like the thought of mourning for both of them as they went away with just days apart but then later on realized that there must be a good purpose for this.

“We’re all there together and we’re able to say all the things that we want her to hear, [that] we love her. That we are all good, that she has to find her happiness wherever she wants to be,” she said.

Their mother wanted to be with their father as she really loved him.
