Kapuso actress Joyce Ching recently held a gender reveal party and netizens criticized her husband’s reaction due to this behavior.

Recently, the Kapuso actress and her husband shared the news in an Instagram Reel. At a gender reveal party, the venue was rained with pink confettis indicating that the couple are having a baby girl for their first baby.
Kevin Alimon, her husband, pulled a teddy bear-shaped pinata which contained the pink shredded papers. As seen in the video, Joyce immediately broke into a huge smile while her husband beside her, was in shock.
“Halatang halata sino ang team boy at team girl,” the actress said in her caption.
In the gender reveal party, her husband received negative comments as after the pinata was pulled, netizens noticed that the actress was expecting a hug from him but he did not give it.
The actress addressed this and in a video, she clarified that she was not expecting a hug from him and that she is not mad with her husband’s reaction. She added that both of them are actually expecting to have a baby boy and they were both shocked when it was revealed that they are going to have a baby boy.
“Sabi ko sa kanya, ‘Paano kapag pink ‘yung lumabas na confetti?’ Kailangan ‘yung reaction natin maayos pa rin so naglolokohan kami, practice tayo [ng reaction],” she shared.
Ching furthered that it’s just the way are in a relationship. They are the kind of pair who are just always chill and fun. She stressed that there was more that happened behind the camera. There’s a lot going on and behind the lenses is where they expressed their love and affection for each other and these are not just evident with a physical touch.

To recall, Joyce and Kevin tied the knot in a garden wedding in 2019 and five years after, they were blessed with a baby. The Sparkle star announced that she is going to become a mom last June. It has been their fervent prayer to have a baby and on March 26, they finally got their prayers answered.
