Kapuso actress and fashion icon, Heart Evangelista has this to say about her stepchildren with her senator husband.
Senate President Chiz Escudero is an accomplished man in many endeavors including fatherhood. As per actress Heart Evangelista, her husband is a perfect dad. As per her description, he is hands-on but at the same, keeps the balance by giving them enough independence to make their own choices.
His twins are Chesi and Quino and when he and his ex-wife Christine Elizabeth Flores separated, the children went under his custody. As what Heart would oftentimes joke about, she is her husband’s “panganay” or eldest.
About Chesi and Quino
In an interview, Heart spoke about them and according to her, the nice thing about their situation was that they were given time. She acknowledges the reality that she will never be their mother but she also believes that in time, when love is consistent and true, everything is going to turn out to be beautiful.
And she’s glad that they are in this kind of place now and for her, this is what matters most. In 2020, she expressed that she might not be their mother but she felt like she has this responsibility to guide them.
She added, “And I’m just very proud of who they are today. And I’m also glad kasi I grew up with them.”
She mentioned again about being Chiz’s eldest and immature she was before that she literally grew up with the twins. In terms of her approach to them, she finds it hard to be strict when she is not the real mom in guiding them so what she does is to be friends with them.
The Kapuso actress expressed that she can’t be strict with them or else they will end hating her, hence, her “friendship” approach to him.
