Chinese Man Reunited with Biological Parents after 33 Years
Chinese man Zhang Huaiyuan who grew up in a poor family found out the truth and was recently reunited with his wealthy real parents.
When it comes to television series, one of the usual plots that is part of most stories is about a character growing up in poverty and eventually finding out that he or she actually came from a wealthy family. While it is only on television in the case of most people, for Zhang Huaiyuan, it happened to him in real life.
Zhang Huaiyuan is a 33-year-old man who grew up in the rural village of Anhui province in the eastern China. His late father was disabled and both of his parents were already in their 50s when they got him. Based on an article on South China Morning Post, they were not his biological parents.
The adoptive parents of the Chinese man were relatives of the doctor who assisted his biological mother in giving birth. His biological parents reportedly believed the doctor who claimed that their baby died.
The biological mother of Zhang Huaiyuan has an elder son whom she delivered via a Caesarean section. Based on the report, when she was on her 6th month of pregnancy with Zhang, her incision which has yet to heal opened so an emergency delivery had to be made.
The doctor reportedly claimed that the baby died. Zhang was given to the doctor’s relatives who were both in their 50s but still had no child then. He grew up in a poor household.
At the age of 17, the Chinese man had to stop his studies and work to help their family. In 2023, his adoptive father died and that was when he was told the truth about his identity. He sought the help of the authorities to find his biological parents.
Zhang Huaiyuan was reunited with his biological parents. He actually came from a wealthy family and his father is greatly saddened when he knew what his son had to go through growing up. His parents gave Zhang 1.2 million yuan or PHP 9,698,384.
The Chinese man now has a wife and a child who is 6 years old. Recently, his biological parents and his brother went to their place to meet his wife and child. Despite poverty then, he was able to build a small factory in Tianjin.
For more than 30 years, he lived without knowing the date of his real birthday. This year, they are planning to celebrate his birthday together as a family.
