Sarah Geronimo Marks 36th Birthday W/ Appeal to Support Typhoon Carina Victims
SARAH GERONIMO – Pop star royalty Sarah Geronimo marked her 36th birthday with call to help typhoon Carina victims.
On Wednesday, Metro Manila was placed under a state of calamity due to Typhoon Carina, which activated the southwest monsoon and caused widespread flooding.
Pop star Sarah Geronimo celebrated her birthday on Thursday while expressing her concern and prayers for those affected by Typhoon Carina.
On Instagram, Sarah Geronimo shared her gratitude for her life and for everyone who has made her journey meaningful. As she celebrated her special day, the singer-actress also extended her sympathy to the typhoon victims who are working to recover.
“Thankful for the gift of life and for everyone who has made my journey colorful and special. As I celebrate my birthday and blow out my candles, my heart also goes out to those affected by Typhoon Carina. Ipinagdarasal ko po lahat ng ating mga kababayang nasalanta ng bagyo at ngayon ay sinusubukang makabangon muli,” Geronimo wrote in her post.
Sarah Geronimo also paid tribute to the rescuers who continue to risk their lives to ensure everyone’s safety, including that of pets. Geronimo described first responders as true heroes.
“Gusto ko rin magbigay-pugay sa ating mga matatapang na rescue teams na patuloy na nag-aalay ng kanilang buhay para siguraduhing ligtas ang lahat—pati na rin ang ating mga alagang hayop. Napakalaki ng respeto ko sa mga kababayan natin na di pinabayaan ang kanilang mga alagang hayop sa kabila ng peligro na dulot ng bagyo. Nakakabilib at nakaka-inspire po ang serbisyo, katapangan, at kabutihang-loob na walang sawa niyong binibigay. Kayo ang mga tunay na superheroes ng mundo na ito. Maraming maraming salamat,” she said.
The Pinay superstar ended her post by urging everyone to keep praying and supporting ongoing relief efforts.
“Let’s continue praying for one another and supporting on-going relief operations. All your efforts and donations go a long way. Ingat po tayong lahat,” Sarah said.
