Camp of Jennylyn Mercado Breaks Silence on Actress GMA Gala Absence
JENNYLYN MERCADO – The hairstylist of the actress revealed the reason behind her absence in the GMA Gala 2024.
In the Kapuso network, one of the much-awaited event is the GMA Gala Night. For this year, the event was held at Manila Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport, Pasay City. It gathered the Kapuso actors and actresses in an event of fun and celebration.
Not only the Kapuso stars were present at the GMA Gala Night but as well as several known personalities in the different fields. There were also Kapamilya stars at the event as the hosts of the ABS-CBN noontime variety show It’s Showtime were invited.
The network war between the GMA-7 and the ABS-CBN network was declared over when the Kapamilya network inked a contract with the Kapuso network for the airing of It’s Showtime.
Showtime hosts Vice Ganda, Ryan Bang, Vhong Navarro, Ogie Alcasid, Jhong Hilario, and Cianne Dominguez were present at GMA Gala Night. The Kapamilya and Kapuso stars enjoyed the night that went on until 3:00 a.m.
The Sparkle management head even had to inform the hotel management for an extension of the stay at the venue. Alden Richards expressed his willingness to pay for the extension at the ballroom for the GMA Gala Night.
However, what caught the attention of many people was the absence of Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado at the GMA Gala Night. Her absence was even more noticeble as her husband, Dennis Trillo, walked on the red carpet.
Recently, the hairstylist of Jennylyn Mercado spoke on the absence of the actress at the GMA Gala Night. She posted the photos of the Kapuso actress wearing the gown she’s supposed to wear at the event.
According to Bianca Anne Vergara, the eldest son of Jennylyn, Jazz Mercado, was sick and, as a parent, the actress prioritized her son. Here’s the post of the actress’ hairstylist:
At the event, Kylie Padilla and David Licauco were awarded “Best Dressed Stars of the Night” while Julie Anne San Jose and Rayver Cruz received the “Couple of the Night” award. Ysabel Ortega and Miguel Tanfelix received the same award.
The “Red Carpet Scene Stealer” award was bagged by Kim Ji Soo while Alden Richards, Dingdong Dantes, Bea Alonzo, Heart Evangelista, and Marian Rivera were the Hall of Fame awardees.
Bianca Umali, Andrea Torres, Barbie Forteza, Sanya Lopez, Kyline Alcantara, and Ruru Madrid received the Sparkle Choice Awards. Here are the other awardees at the event:
