Why is Jennylyn Mercado not renewing her GMA contract yet?
Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado says she is currently a freelancer as her contract with GMA is still under negotiation.
The contract renewal of Jennylyn Mercado is making a buzz online. As of this writing, she still hasn’t signed any contract with her home network GMA which ignited speculations about her considering transferring to other networks.
Will she or will she not transfer?
In an interview, the actress broken her silence and accordingly, as for now, she is a freelance actress. She has not yet signed a new contract with GMA, her home as an artist for 20 years already.
She revealed that her contract renewal with GMA is still under negotiation. Mercado also added that she received no offers from other networks to clarify the rumors about her leaving the Kapuso network.
Jennylyn is happy as a Kapuso and would always consider herself as a Kapuso. She believes that the negotiations about her contract is going to be quick. They are waiting for the contract and she would stay as long as the network would want her to stay.
She said, “Basta ganito, kung gusto pa rin nila akong Kapuso, happy pa rin akong maging Kapuso.”
Clarifying her current status as an actress, she said that she considers herself as a freelancer. The actress is set to a film with Dennis Trillo and actor Sam Milby. On top of this, she also has upcoming plans for her production company.
Meanwhile, in a previous article, Jennylyn threw a baby shower party for Sheena Halili, a close friend of hers. It was a lavish party ahead of Sheena’s due to welcome her second baby and she feels grateful for Mercado for her thoughtfulness and generosity as she was not able to do this on her first pregnancy because of the pandemic.
