King of Talk Boy Abunda reacted to the viral hosting stint of Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards on Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night.
Alden was the main host of the said beauty pageant event. This is not the first time he hosted the coronation night. Last year, critics expressed that he lacked enthusiasm and energy.
For this year’s pageant, he was criticized for “shouting” the names of the candidates who made it to the top finalists. For them, Alden had a “galit” tone. With this, memes and negative reactions were posted online regarding the way he hosted the pageant.
In his reaction to this, Alden Richards said that he has nothing against the memes that circulated after the MUPH 2024 coronation night. He pointed out that he just raised his energy according to the crowd’s energy. The Kapuso star also said that he was actually laughing when he saw the memes.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Balita, Boy Abunda, shared his thoughts on that viral hosting stint of the Asia’s Multimedia Star.
Tito Boy is already a veteran when it comes to hosting and talk shows. He also does mentorship in this field. At times, he would train beauty queens about public speaking and answering pageant questions.
With what Alden showed during the MUPH pageant, Tito Boy said that people criticized that he was shouting, which was actually difficult when someone was on stage. There are times when the host can’t hear clearly, especially when the speakers on stage are not properly placed.
When this happens, there is a tendency for the host will indeed shout. “Plus, mayroon kang notion na that’s the way they do it. ‘Ladies and gentlemen, the top 20… Vietnam!’ ‘Di ba, may notion ka. The veteran TV host shared that he has not done any mentoring sessions yet with Alden Richards but he knows that the Kapuso actor is willing to learn.
