Yassi Pressman talked about her character in ‘Black Rider’
Actress Yassi Pressman is now playing “two” characters in the Kapuso primetime series Black Rider.
Yassi is the leading lady of Ruru Madrid in the series. She was first known as Bane who is a street-smart with a strong will to survive and surpass challenges. Her initial character had gone through a lot in life that made her strong and independent.
As the story goes on, based on the article in The Philippine Star, Yassi’s character faces a “life-altering red wedding.” She survived that but she suffered from amnesia. She is now portraying Vanessa.
Her new identity as the daughter of Pres. William Romero played by Roi Vinzon is now a sophisticated and strong woman. Vanessa is made to believe that Elias, played by Ruru, is the reason behind what happened to her.
Yassi Pressman said that portraying two characters in Black Rider is a rollercoaster ride. She is thankful for the warm welcome she received from her co-stars from being Bane to being Vanessa.
She shared that she has never played the character of Bane before so this experience was very fun for her. Yassi described Bane as someone who is courageous, deeply loves her family, and is ready to fight for her loved ones.
With her character Vanessa, complexity arises as she journeys into knowing herself after having amnesia. Yassi expressed gratitude to everyone she worked with in the series. “I’m very, very lucky to have all my tentmates and castmates, who are very loving and welcoming. We’ll always cherish those moments,” she said.
When asked if she could consider Bane and Vanessa among her top 3 best characters she portrayed, she said, “opo, siyempre po.” It is because her character went through a lot and she is thankful for this opportunity.
Yassi Pressman also highlighted that Black Riders offers a lot to the viewers. They have action, romance, and friendship, and these bring out a colorful story.
