OSAA Confirm Mayor Alice Guo Arrest Order Served, Details Are Out

ALICE GUO ARREST ORDER – The Senate’s Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms has served the arrest order but the authorities found “negative presence”.

Currently, there are several issues being tackled in the Senate. Aside from the costs of the new Senate building, the upper chamber is also looking into the allegations against suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo.

Alice Guo and Guo Hua Ping

Guo is accused of involvement in the illegal Philippine Offshore Gaming operations in Tarlac. There are also several questions about her identity and the National Bureau of Investigation or NBI confirmed that Guo’s fingerprints matched with the fingerprints of Guo Hua Ping, a Chinese national.

The wealth of the suspended Bamban, Tarlac Mayor also sparks questions. Millions were deposited in her multiple bank accounts from 2019. The Court of Appeals released a Freeze Order on the assets of Mayor Guo.

A money-laundering case was also filed against Mayor Alice Guo after billions were spotted entering the bank accounts of the suspended Mayor. She was absent in the June 26 and July 10 hearings set by the Senate. The upper chamber cited Guo for contempt following her absence at the hearings.

The Senate panel that charged Guo for contempt wrote a letter to Senate Pres. Chiz Escudero. The Senate President signed the latter which led thus an arrest order against Guo was released by the Senate.

Based on a report on GMA News, the Alice Guo arrest order had already been served by the Senate’s Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms or the OSAA. However, there was “negative presence” and only the account of the Mayor was found by the authorities.

OSAA said that all the arrest orders includings the Alice Guo arrest order was served at their respective addresses. Only Nancy Gamo, the account of Guo, was found. She’s detained at the Senate under the custody of the OSAA.

Aside from Mayor Guo and Gamo, other individuals with arrest orders Dennis Lacson Cunanan and Guo’s alleged relatives Wesley Leal Guo, Seimen L. Guo, Sheila Leal Guo, Wenyi Lin, and Jian Zhong Guo.

The OSAA was given 24 hours to serve the arrest orders. Based on the article, there is an order to detain the eight individuals with arrest orders at the Senate until they appear or testify before the Senate Committee on Women, Children, Family Relations and Gender Equality which is headed by Sen. Risa Hontiveros.

Guo celebrated her birthday this month and she previously took a statement on social media. She admitted that she is greatly hurt by what is happening in her life now due to politics.
