Dialysis Patient Dies from Motorcycle Accident

DIALYSIS PATIENT – A man with a kidney disease who was supposedly off to the hospital died from a motorcycle accident when a dog suddenly crossed the road.

It is no secret to the public that the road is one of the risky places to be that is why drivers are always reminded to observe safe driving protocols. However, truth be told that there are really situations that sometimes seem to be out of the control of drivers including sudden crossing of pedestrians or animals on the road.

Undeniably, situations of sudden crossing of pedestrians or animals on the road can be really risky for both the crosser and the vehicle involved. There were several instances when motorcycle riders got into an accident after sudden crossing of a dog.

Recently, a dialysis patient who was supposedly off to the hospital got involved into a motorcycle accident after a dog suddenly crossed the road.

Based on a report on Balitambayan, the man with a chronic kidney disease (CKD) was riding a motorcycle along Calasiao, Pangasinan when the accident happened. A dog suddenly crossed the road which led to the accident of the dialysis patient.

The victim was identified as Alfredo Sarmiento, 52 years old. According to the police authorities, the impact was strong and he was not wearing a helmet when the road accident happened.

The dog that was involved in the road accident of the dialysis patient also died. Based on the report, the family is deeply hurt that he died from the motorcycle accident and not from the disease that he was fighting against.

Currently, the police authorities are still investigating to determine the owner of the dog. According to the chairman of Barangay Doyong where the accident happened, Mr. Henry Ferrer, they cannot locate the owner of the dog. He also expressed that the owner of the dog is not a resident of their barangay as no one in the barangay reported for a missing dog.
