Here are some words from Melai Cantiveros that touched many hearts.
Kapamilya TV host-actress Melai Cantiveros shared that his father has a cancer but despite this, these inspiring words resonated with many people.
As a child, we can all relate to how painful Kapamilya TV host-actress Melai Cantiveros is going through as her father is suffering from a prostate cancer. If we could only take half of their pain to lessen their burden, we would but we also know that this is not possible.
The possible ways we can do is to be there with them, support them, and never leave them. It is just right to pay them back for all the hard work they did in raising us out of love and not out of duty or anything else.
They dedicated their lives loving us and loving them back especially in the most difficult times of their life is just right. What we have are borrowed lives and before the Mighty One gets us back to be with Him, might as well love all out.
In an interview with Bernadette Sembrano, Melai shared that her father has a prostate cancer. Out of love for her parents, she is doing everything like shouldering most of the financial burden that comes with his recovery.
She spends Php 100,000.00 every month for his medication. Instead of thinking the big chunk it eats from her earnings, she is choosing to look at the brighter side where there is gratitude in her heart. She is full of gratitude as she was able to do this every month. She is thankful for every blessing in her that comes in the form of opportunities.
Everything is a blessing for her. She mentioned that her parents are ashamed because of the situation but this kind of responsibility is something she is willing to do. She is just full of gratitude because of everything.
“Sumunod lang kayo sa gamutan para masaya ang mga anak niyo,” she quipped based on the interview.
Meanwhile, Melai’s new show ‘Kuan-On-One’ is currently having a smooth and successful run. This show will highlight the Bisaya culture but what the viewers love more is her charm and humor.
