Cops Arrest Couple After Refusing to Pay Bill at Bar
The police authorities arrested a couple after refusing to pay the bill they accumulated at a bar in Manila.
Recently, the police authorities arrested a couple for refusing to their bill at a bar in Manila. The report immediately spread like wildfire online and garnered various reactions from internet users.
Alias Adrian and his group went to a bar in Manila and asked the management to close the place exclusively for them. The couple decided to rent the entire bar to enjoy the establishment exclusively.
After the party, the bar management informed the couple that the bill reached P84,000. Unfortunately, Adrian refused to pay the bill. His reaction escalated, leading to a physical altercation with a waiter.
“Itong suspek natin na si alyas Adrian ay pumasok dito at may kasama siya. Kung saan nga pagpasok nila doon pinasarado niya itong bar na ito at ililibre niya lahat to include yung mga empleyado din ng bar,” the Manila City police said.
“At nung natapos na nga ang party at nalaman niya kung magkano ang babayaran niya na mahigit P80,000 ay nagalit siya dito sa waiter at nasaktan niya ito,” he added.
Adrian also generously offered to treat everyone at the bar, including the staff.
“Ang sabi niya sa akin, puwede kayo uminom bibigyan ko kayong dalawa. Ako naman nag-overwhelm ako kasi wala naman kami kinikita lagi dito pumayag kami kinagat namin yung offer niya… hanggang sa umabot na sa 15k, sa 21k, umorder pa siya,” the waiter said.
“Nung tumagal tagal na, 70k na. Tapos ang usapan magbabayad siya mga 1, 2, 3 [a.m.]… hanggang sa pumayag kami hanggang alas-3 na. Hindi na ako nakatiis kinausap ko siya nang masinsinan at tinanong ko kung may pera ba siya. Tapos sabi niya sa akin, ‘Anong akala mo sa akin walang pera?’ Ayon doon na nangyari yung gulo,” the waiter added.
However, several netizens believed that the bill piled up due to possible overcharging.
