The human skeletal remains in Murcia, Negros Occidental was suspected to be male, and authorities is set to investigate for this case.
Afternoon of July 8, a farmer from Murcia, Negros Occidental met an unexpected sight while plowing a sugarcane field with his carabao. Amid his activity, he discovered the scattered bones of a human.
This incident happened in Hacienda Valing, Barangay Blumentritt in Murcia and the skeletal remains were discovered by the farmer past 4 PM in the afternoon. He immediately reported this to the authorities.
The remains have ribs, spinal column, pelvic bone, and the leg bones. The skull was missing and also recovered from the scene was a male undergarment which led the authorities to initially suspect that the fatality is a male. However, the identification remains unknown as they are yet to investigate.
Based on the report, it is believed that the remains were just thrown in that particular sugarcane field after it was burned.
The Murcia PNP calls out the public to report any missing person for this case’s investigation. There are currently no missing people in Murcia but there were three reported in Bacolod City namely Lorebelle Antiquerra, Joem Villacoer, and Jonel Nanga.
Meanwhile, the current case creating a loud buzz online is the Geneva Lopez case. The beauty queen and her Israeli boyfriend was found dead buried in a quarry site in Barangay Sta. Lucia in Capas, Tarlac. Their bodies were already decaying.
Based on the autopsy report, they suffered gunshot wounds which caused their death. The bereaved families of a beauty pageant contestant and her her Israeli boyfriend are calling for justice. Lopez’s remains were cremated while her boyfriend’s remains will be brought back to Israel where he will be buried.
