Luis Manzano is open for a major transition in his life
Actor-host Luis Manzano said that he is ready to enter politics if an opportunity will be offered to him.
Back in 2021, Luis expressed that he has plans to enter politics but at that time, he said that he is not ready yet. He also said that if this time came, he should be ready to serve. His mom, Star for All Season Vilma Santos, also had crossed over from showbiz to politics.
Ate Vi, as the veteran actress is fondly called in showbiz, has served as governor of Batangas and mayor of Lipa City. She told Luis three years ago that being in politics is not easy. Sacrifices will be made but it is a fulfilling career.
In a recent interview, Luis said that he is set to have a new game show after he renewed his contract with his home network ABS-CBN. The TV host that his upcoming show Rainbow Rumble is different from the past shows that he did.
Luis Manzano said that people might be intimidated that since it is a trivia format, they would think that this show is just for genius.
“Kasi may mga game show tayo dati na dapat talaga genius ka. May mga difficult questions tayo, tricky questions, nakakatawang questions. Kung ano ang mapupunta sa iyo, doon papasok ang game of chance o ‘yung swerte mo,” the TV host said, adding that it is still about “swertehan.”
Then, Luis shared that if given a chance, he is ready to do public service. This is different from what he felt years ago.
“Ready na rin naman ako sakaling tumakbo, but knowing kung ano ‘yung mayroon ako ngayon, my priorities ano ang kailangang gawin kung sakaling bumukas na ‘yung pinto na ‘yan, mas kino-consider ko nang tumakbo,” he said.
Luis said that before, he could say “hindi pa,” if asked if he was ready to enter politics. Now, he said, it is more like, “pwedeng tingnan natin, pwede na.”
