Here’s LJ Moreno’s Advice To People Who Want To Adopt

LJ MORENO – Find out what advice actress LJ Moreno has for parents who want to adopt.

LJ Moreno is an actress best known for her roles in “Di kita ma-reach” (2001), “The Leaving” (2010), and “Sgt. Maderazo: Bayad na pati kaluluwa mo” (2001). In a previous article, she said she’s willing to return to showbusiness fter several years of living in America,

She has been married to Jimmy Alapag since August 19, 2010, and they have four children. LJ and Jimmy had Keona in 2014 — the same year they adopted Ian — and then Calen three years later.

LJ Moreno recently advised people who are planning to adopt. “One thing would be, just be wholehearted about it,” she said.

It is known that she and Jimmy Alapag’s first child, Ian Maximus, is adopted. On the online entertainment show Marites University, LJ reminded aspiring parents who want to adopt a child.

LJ Moreno said that not being able to have a child should not be the sole reason for adoption.

“Kasi paano ‘pag nabuntis ka? Parang dapat from the beginning, wholehearted talaga, ‘yung walang second thoughts, ‘yung talagang alam mo na pantay-pantay even magkaroon kayo ng biological [na anak],” she said.

LJ also reminisced about their adoption of their eldest child, Ian. She shared that it took almost four years before she got pregnant, so she and Jimmy decided to adopt beforehand.

However, she recounted, “I actually got pregnant three days after nu’ng in-adopt namin si Ian.”

“Three days after namin iuwi si Ian, nalaman ko na buntis ako and nalaman ko na buntis ako kasi nakatulog ako, fight ni Manny Pacquiao,” she said.

She admitted that she is a big fan of the celebrity boxer and wondered why she fell asleep. Because of this, she asked for a pregnancy test kit, which confirmed she was pregnant with their child, Keona.

LJ clarified that when they adopted Ian, they didn’t think they had no chance of having a biological child. She thought, “If I get pregnant, I get pregnant; if not, then [okay].”

“Parang we really fell in love with Ian talaga and para talaga siyang athlete din siya e, walang difference. Nagugulat nga ‘yung ibang tao, especially sa U.S., when they find out na [adopted] siya,” she said.

According to the report, LJ mentioned that Ian gets along well with his siblings, though he has started to ask questions about his origins.

“Parang sometimes he thinks about how come they gave him up, ‘yung mga ganu’n, may mga questions na siya,” she said.

The actress continued, “And then I said, ‘Kuya, when there comes a time if you wanna go and look, it’s okay, We can look for them.’ Pero right now, sabi niya, ‘No mom, I don’t want to.’”
