ITALY – The Italian government is offering to pay up to Php 1.8 million to approved individuals who want to live in Tuscany.

One of the most beautiful countries across the globe is Italy. It is home to fascinating structures that are truly Instagram-worthy, to the delicious foods, and many more. It also has several interesting programs like the Residenzialita in Montagna 2024 or the Residency in the Mountains 2024.

Under the Residenzialita in Montagna 2024 or the Residency in the Mountains 2024, the Italian government is ready to pay the individuals who are qualified to live in Tuscany. It is a region in the central part of the country with little population.

Tuscany has been the setting of several hit films including the movies Under the Tuscan Scan (2003), Gladiator (2000), Life is Beautiful (1997), and The Twilight Saga: New Moon (2010).

Aside from being the setting of several hit movies, Tuscany is also the hometown of several popular personalities during the Renaissance period like Michelangelo, painter Sandro Botticelli, and architect Filippo Brunelleschi.

Under the Residenzialita in Montagna 2024, the government of Italy allotted 2.8 million euros or Php 176 million for the qualified individuals who want to live in Tuscany. Interested individuals who will qualify under the program may get between PHP 628,000 to PHP 1.8 million.

The cash assistance to be given under the residential program of Italy intends to cover at least 50% of the expenses in buying and renovating a house in Tuscany. There are 76 towns that interested and qualified individuals may choose from.

“The purpose of the intervention is to favor and encourage the repopulation and socio-economic revitalization of mountain areas, acting in contrast to the marginalization of these areas,” Italy wrote in its website.

The application for those who want to live in Tuscany is accepted until July 27, 2024. Once registered, an individual is not allowed to be a resident of another country. Here are the qualifications set under the Italian program:
