BINI ISSUE – Following the incident involving BINI Aiah, Star Magic issued a warning through a statement to those who disrespect their artists.
Where should public figures draw the line between their personal and public lives? If one is a public figure, does the public have all the rights to whatever they please to? The answer is actually clear and that is everyone, including public figures, are entitled of their own personal space.
In various social media platforms, we’ve seen videos of rude and inappropriate behavior towards our fave celebrities and the latest involved our well-loved BINI, the nation’s girl group.
Recently, a video online has been circulating where Aiah was seen shocked when a male fan went too close to her seemingly invading her personal space. To people online who have seen the video, it felt so uncomfortable to watch.
The next one involved BINI Maloi who was mobbed during a family dinner. It was supposed to be her private time with her family but fans circled around her to take photos with her.
Following these incidents, Star Magic released a statement. It stated that they are o take ‘appropriate action’ on alleged harassment of artists and against those who are not respecting their artists.
“We would like to remind everyone that any action or advance towards a woman in a public place that is unwanted and threatens her sense of personal space may be considered as gender-based street and public space sexual harassment,” Star Magic said in a statement posted on BINI’s X account.
Star Music makes an appeal to people to respect the personal space and privacy of their talents, especially during their time off.
BINI is composed of eight members namely Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
