Andi Eigenmann Honors Late Aunt Cherie Gil W/ Touching Birthday Tribute
ANDI EIGENMANN – YouTube vlogger and actress Andi Eigenmann penned a birthday greeting for her late aunt Cherie Gil.
Cherry Gil passed away in August 2022 at the age of 59 after a prolonged battle with endometrial cancer. Andi Eigenmann wrote a heartfelt birthday tribute to her late aunt, veteran actress Cherie Gil, who would have turned 61 on June 21.
The celebrity mom took to Instagram to share cherished memories with her aunt, ensuring her legacy was honored on her special day.
“Remembering you in my life’s little moments always; remembering you more today on your birthday,” Andi wrote in the IG caption. “I love you always, Tita Cherie. Thank you for always being there for me.”
Recently, Andi Eigenmann also grieved the sudden loss of her mother, acclaimed actress Jaclyn Jose, who succumbed to a heart attack last March. In a June 9 interview on “My Mother, My Story,” Andi reflected on her mother’s death.
“It’s only once that you lose a mother. You only have one mother. Losing someone that important to you changes you. Everything changes,” Andi expressed.
Andi praised her mother as a “work of art,” emphasizing how she now cherishes her multifaceted personality.
“She’s a work of art. All of her own, with her many facets. Many personalities, many emotions. [Before] I feel like it’s hard for me because that’s how she is, but now remembering her that way, I only remember her that way in the most positive sense,” she explained.
In other news, Andi’s fiancé, Philmar Alipayo, recently went viral due to a video where he appeared to be flirting with another woman, which circulated on social media.
“When I saw the video, I ignored it; I just looked at him. When I saw the video, I said, ‘ngek’ then I looked at him, ‘what’s this?’ and then I ignored it, and parang tumawa lang siya, pinagtawanan lang namin,” said Andi, addressing the viral video.
“What bothered me is finding out that it was done on purpose, that the person in the video was the one that posted it. That’s what bothered me because then you just created something super unnecessary,” she added.
