Regine Velasquez showed support for BINI
Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez has this advice for all-girl P-pop group BINI for their first solo concert.
Regine’s icon status in the music industry has become an inspiration to many younger artists who also aspire to reach the same career milestones. Her songs have traveled different generations.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Balita, Regine shared her advice for BINI which is one of the most popular girl groups now in the P-pop scene.
Regine Velasquez highlighted the importance of enjoying the moment. “Just enjoy it. When you’re doing a concert, hindi mo mahe-help ang sarili mo. You will really enjoy it, because your audience will just give you love,” the OPM icon said.
She also said that when an artist is performing with that high energy, the audience will reciprocate that energy and even give tenfold.
Regine commended BINI for helping the Philippine music industry be known worldwide. She is happy that the younger generation of artists is sustaining the industry.
“Natutuwa ako kasi, they’re giving life to OPM. Kumbaga, hindi lang sa sarili nila, sa career nila. They’re actually bringing life to our music. Tapos, ipinapakilala nila pa sa buong mundo ‘yung music natin,” the Asia’s Songbird said.
BINI are set to hold their first major concert titled BINIverse on June 28 to June 30 at the New Frontier Theater. They are considered as the Nation’s Girl Group. They are composed of seven lovely ladies – Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna, and Sheena.
The all-girl group also popularized the viral dance challenge for their song “Pantropiko.” This song is about the feeling of happiness and excitement a person could have when he or she is in love. The dance craze was joined by many netizens and famous celebrities.
