There is no one best approach in choosing a life partner. A lot of things pile up that will make up for the decision that you are going to make.
There are these questions like “Do you share a common life purpose?” Having an aligned mindset in life and being on the same page with your partner will make things a bit easier for you in navigating your life as an individual and together as a couple.
But as for KC, the quote she shared simply stated to observe how will that person affect everything in your life. As much as you would not like it to happen, the person you allow in your life can either make or break everything you have.
