Michelle Dee shared what she said to Chelsea Manalo
Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Dee shared the advice she gave to Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo for the international pageant.
Michelle is a pageant veteran. From being the candidate who represented the Philippines in Miss World in 2019, she became the country’s representative in Miss Universe last year.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Michelle continues to show support for Chelsea. The Kapuso star shared beautiful words about the beauty queen from Bulacan.
“I really love Chelsea. I really love her personality. I think we crowned a genuine-hearted queen. Of course, we’ve been talking since she won. I told her if she needed any advice, I’m always here,” Michelle Dee said.
She also said that she would be there for Chelsea’s journey. Michelle stressed that she would be guiding Chelsea every step of the way. “She’s in very good hands. I trust that [the Philippines] will be okay,” the beauty queen-actress said.
Michelle shared some pieces of advice with Chelsea about the pageant but one specific piece of advice that she always reiterated is owning her story.
“Own your story, know your purpose, and how we can impact everybody’s lives. That’s what [instilled] in me. That’s what kept me going,” she shared.
The Kapuso star stressed that even though you won’t be able to bring home the crown, as long as you achieve your purpose, that’s what’s important. She said that this was her goal for the Philippines and she went back home feeling like a winner.
Meanwhile, Michelle Dee and Chelsea Manalo had a viral crowning moment during the Miss Universe Philippines 2024 coronation night. Michelle placed the crown on Chelsea’s head but it looked like the latter was balancing it as it was not properly placed.
After the coronation night, they both laughed at that viral crowning moment.
