Thief Caught After Falling Asleep in Air-Conditioned Home

A thief was arrested after falling asleep in the air-conditioned home he had broken into, enjoying a comfortable nap.

On the night of Saturday, June 8, 2024, a thief identified only as Kapil break into the locked home of Dr. Sunil Pandey, located in Sector 20, Indira Nagar, Lucknow, India. He entered the house and turned on the air conditioning to rest for a while.

However, he did not anticipate how comfortable the air conditioning would be, leading him to fall into a deep sleep. The following morning, the thief was woken up by the police.

The theft was discovered when neighbors became suspicious after noticing the main door of the house slightly open on Sunday morning. Knowing that the house was currently unoccupied and only occasionally visited by Dr. Pandey, the neighbors decided to check inside.

Upon peeking through the door, they discovered that the house had been ransacked and spotted a man sleeping inside. They immediately reported the situation to the police.

When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Kapil still asleep amidst the items he had stolen from the house. The police immediately arrested him, catching him in the act with the stolen goods.
