Danica Sotto talked about being the daughter of Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie
Celebrity Danica Sotto shared her thoughts on being compared to her parents, seasoned showbiz personalities Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie.
Danica was exposed to showbiz at an early age because of the star status of her parents. Eventually, she joined showbiz and did many acting projects. With the success that her parents have achieved in the entertainment industry, it is inevitable for people to compare.
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Danica shared that being compared to her parents does not bother her.
Danica Sotto said that she does not feel insecure if people compare her to Vic Sotto and Dina Bonnevie. For her, being a daughter of Vic and Dina is both a privilege and somehow difficult.
She said that this is a privilege because her parents are big stars and this means they have a lot of fans. “Siyempre parang natutuwa din sila sa’yo ganun. At the same time siguro ‘yung parang tough part, I wouldn’t say super tough, medyo lang. You’re always getting compared to your parents,” she said.
However, growing up, people compared her to her mom. Some would comment that she is not as beautiful as Dina. With this kind of comment, Danica said, β’Di ba pwedeng dumaan sa awkward stage?β
She stressed that it does not affect her negatively when people would praise her mom. Danica even shared that even her high school friends would tell her that they had a crush on Dina.
βKasi ang ganda talaga ni Mommy. Alam mo, hindi ako naiirita. Napa-proud pa ako. Na ‘Uy, mommy ko ‘yan ah,’βΒ the celebrity shared.
Meanwhile, Danica Sotto has recently addressed the cheating accusation against her husband Marc Pingris. She said that it was just a misinterpretation and that issue became bigger because of this.
