Mayor Alice Guo Shares Pictures W/ President Bongbong Marcos
MAYOR ALICE GUO – Bamban Mayor Alice Guo uploaded pictures with President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
Hours after President Marcos cast doubt on her true identity, stating he didn’t know who she was and that “no one knows her” in local political circles, Mayor Alice Guo of Bamban, Tarlac, responded by posting photos on social media to make her point.
The photos depicted her mingling with notable politicians, including Marcos himself.
On Thursday afternoon, Mayor Alice Guo posted two photos of herself with President Marcos, taken during his inspection of the Airport to New Clark City access road on February 20, where she was apparently a guest.
She uploaded the photos about 20 minutes after Malacañang released a transcript of the President’s interview in Cagayan de Oro City earlier that day, in which Marcos stated that neither he nor other politicians, especially in Tarlac, knew Guo before her election as mayor. Malacañang did not immediately comment on Guo’s posts.
A review of her official Facebook page revealed that on March 8, 2022, Mayor Guo also met Bongbong Marcos, who was then a presidential candidate, after his proclamation rally. A photo from that encounter showed them both wearing red shirts and face masks, and another photo captured them fist-bumping.
She also posted a photo of herself exchanging a fist bump and high-fives with Speaker Martin Romualdez, the President’s cousin. The photos were posted without any captions but seemed to be intended to counter growing suspicions about her true identity and allegations that she was a Chinese spy infiltrating Philippine politics.
