NOCECO Consumer Expresses Dismay Over Electricity Bill Rising from Over P1K to P168K
A consumer of the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NOCECO) has raised a complaint about the massive increase in her electricity bill.
Recently, Rosalie Ardiana Ferren, a Facebook user, took to social media to express her shock and frustration, revealing that her bill, which had previously been manageable, had skyrocketed to a staggering amount.
In her post, Ferren explained that her monthly electricity bill had been consistent and reasonable in previous months. Last month, it was just over P1,100, and the month before that, it was around P700.
However, this month, she was shocked to receive a bill amounting to P168,370.75. The female consumer mentioned that she struggles to pay even a P2,000 bill, how can she afford over P168,000? Rosalie also stressed out that she didn’t even have the money to fix her leaky house.
Ferren’s electricity bill has raised questions about the accuracy of NOCECO’s billing process. She is seeking answers and hoping for a resolution that addresses this billing error. The discrepancy in her electricity charges suggests a possible mistake that needs to be investigated and corrected by the cooperative.
As of this writing, there has been no official response from NOCECO regarding Ferren’s complaint. The situation has garnered attention on social media, with many netizens expressing their support for Ferren and urging NOCECO to take immediate action to resolve the issue.

(Why is my bill so high now? Last month it was only P1,100, and the month before that it was just P700. Now it’s P168,370.75. This is outrageous. You might as well have made it P200,000. I can’t even pay a P2,000 bill, how can I afford over P168,000? I don’t even have the money to fix my leaky house. What do you have to say about this?)
