Alden Richards reminded the public to be cautious of fake statements
Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards has this reaction to the fake statements about Kapamilya stars Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
In this modern era, social media is widely used and has become a part of many people’s daily routines. Just like anything else, social media also has its pros and cons. One of the negative things that can be shared online is fake statements being attributed to famous personalities.
This happened to Alden just recently. A Facebook page shared Alden, Kathryn, and Daniel’s images with a fake quote from the Kapuso actor.
In the fake statement, Alden Richards was supposedly attacking Daniel Padilla. Previously, Richard Faulkerson, Alden’s father reacted to this. He stressed that his son would never say anything like this against anyone.
In a recent interview on 24 Oras, Alden Richards spoke about the fake statement attributed to him. The Kapuso actor said that he would never say anything to defame anyone.
He also said that he is not in a position to judge a person, especially if they haven’t been together for a long time.
“Kahit kailan, hindi ako magco-comment ng kahit anong defamatory words to someone na hindi ko naman masyadong kasama at wala naman akong karapatang manghusga sa taong tinutukoy sa fake tweets na kumakalat,” Alden said.
Then, he warned the public not to believe the fake statement which is spreading online as this has become rampant on social media.
“Ingat lang tayo sa fake news dahil ang social media ay pugad ng fake news. Not until ang mga official accounts ng mga artista ang nag-post na kumakalat ng diumano, ay huwag nating paniwalaan. Mag-fact check muna tayo bago mag-call ng judgment,” Alden Richards stressed.
Meanwhile, Alden was asked in a recent interview about the rumored sequel to his Hello, Love, Goodbye movie with Kathryn. The actor said that he also hoped that the love story of Joy and Ethan would continue for part two.
