Gigi de Lana’s Mother Dies After Long Battle with Disease
GIGI DE LANA’S MOTHER DIES – The singer confirmed on social media that her mother, Imelda de Lana, passed away.
One of the popular Pinoy singers in the Philippines is Gigi de Lana who recently flew abroad for some shows together with her band, the Gigi Vibes. However, amid her performances abroad, the singer’s heart is undeniably way back home in the country as her mother fights for her life.
Gigi de Lana’s mother, Imelda de Lana, was confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in an undisclosed hospital while the singer was in abroad for work. In May 8, the singer revealed that her mother was fighting for her life.
Gigi’s mother was fighting against cancer then. It was last year when the singer revealed the health status of her mother when she cut her hair short in support for her who undergoes chemotherapy.
However, the disease of the singer’s mom reached the Stage 4 which is one of the hardest stages to treat. While pushing through with her commitments abroad, she can only hope that her mom is still alive by the time she returns to the country.
Sadly, recently, Gigi de Lana’s mother died. In a post on social media, the singer expressed her gratitude to everyone who prayed for her mom and announced that her mother passed away at 9:19 on Tuesday evening, May 14, 2024.
Gigi posted a series of photos of her mother, some taken at the hospital, and snaps of them together. She ended her caption by expressing her love to her mom telling her to take a rest now.
