In a church wedding held in Batangas City, Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas and his partner, Angelica Chua, expressed their sweet vows to each other as they officially tied the knot. In his vow, the Governor said that he came to marry her not only in his own free will but “full of love”.
Governor Dodo stressed that he and his wife are both ready to raise the children that God will bless them into good Christians. The 80-year-old groom expressed that it is the essence of their union — “to have children who we will raise in a Christian way”.

In her vows, Mrs. Mandanas says:

In her vows, Angelica Chua revealed that it was on Valentine’s Day when the Governor asked her out on a date. She expressed her gratitude to her now-husband for the invitation and for choosing to spend the rest of his life with her.
Angelica also promised the Governor to be strong for him, to support him, and to always be by his side to take care of him. Being a lawyer, she also vowed to listed to him and his suggestions but not necessarily follow them as she jokingly said that “it’s only part of due process”.
Batangas Governor Dodo Mandanas’ wife earned her law degree from Ateneo de Manila. In her vow, she got emotional when she said that she had her heart broken several times and she has set the standards high so she won’t get hurt again until he came.
“You showed me that I deserved to be loved and respected, that with you, I can put my guard down. And if there is one thing I’d ask of you, it is for you to promise to stay strong for as long as you can so I can grow old with you,” the bride told her groom.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, at the wedding reception, Angelica Chua said that her mother, Judge Maria Cecilia Austria Chua, is the “brain behind the Mandanas ruling for which the governor is very proud and well-known of”. Her father is a doctor.
The bride’s siblings work in the legal and medical fields while she is a partner in the Platon-Martinez office in Makati. Based on the article, she stressed that she believes in the law of attraction and she really maninfested getting married to a politician.
“I’ve always wanted and I knew I’d marry a politician because I know I’d marry a great partner. I know that my wedding will be the wedding of the year,” she said.
