As we age, we tend to get more conscious with our health especially with the symptoms we are having. From the frequent headaches to the irregularities, all these things we thought were not a big deal before actually play a greater role.
In a new vlog of Luis Manzano, he shared with his viewers his journey into finding out the truth in the mole in his head that grew bigger. He used to joke about it but just recently, his hairstylist noticed the growth and that was he started to feel bothered about it.
To ease what he was feeling, he decided to see a doctor and was told that there was indeed growth but nothing to worry about. However, this is not enough. They needed to do more, of course, to make sure and he underwent a biopsy.
“May kailangan i-biopsy dito sa taas ng ulo ko. Parang ang biopsy, kung hindi ako nagkakamali, ay iche-check kung cancerous or not, malignant or benign. Story time, akala ko dati pa, may nunal ako dito. Akala ko dati pa, nunal,” he said.
Nobody knows this except for his wife Jessy Mendiola.
A biopsy is the procedure where something must be removed from your body as a sample for a lab test. This is recommended if the doctor is suspecting cancer but you can’t be for sure initially as you would have to wait for the results and you will need to wait for days to get the result.
This is what Manzano went through. A part of the mole was taken from his head and was sent to a laboratory. Tests were done and these tests were done to determine if it is benign or malignant.
He waited for days and got a pleasant result. It was benign and to celebrate this, he cut his hair short based on his video.
