One of the well-loved artists of her generation is actress-singer Janella Salvador. She started young in the show business industry and is now on the 10th year of her showbiz career. Apart from being an actress and a singer, she is also a  dancer, model, and host.

Her real name is Janella Maxine Desiderio Salvador and she was born on March 30, 1998. She was born in Cebu and raised in San Juan. Her parents are West End musical actress Jenine Desiderio and former lead singer of Rage Band Juan Miguel Salvador.

As someone with two talented parents in music, she also grew up loving music. She showed interest in performing arts at such a young age.

She was discovered by management directors Manny Valera and former Star Magic head Johnny Manahan when she appeared in a segment in Eat Bulaga. Her official acting debut happened in 2012 in the successful and high-rating series Please Be Careful With My Heart.

In 2013, she was launched as the newest artist of Star Magic. In 2015, she made her first leading role in a series and got her first platinum when she released her debut album. Her film debut was in Jun Lana’s Haunted Mansion which was a top grosser in 41st MMFF. That same edition of the film festival, she was named as the New Actress Of The Year. In 2017, she did her first solo concert Super Janella.

She and Filipino-British actor Markus Paterson used to be in a relationship. On October 20, 2020, she gave birth to their son in England but shortly after coming back to the Philippines, they separated. Currently, they have a good co-parenting set-up.
