Katrina Halili admitted that she was “pasaway” in the past
Kapuso actress Katrina Halili said that she is thankful to her home network GMA Network for not giving up on her.
Katrina is one of the homegrown talents of the Kapuso network. She started her career in the entertainment industry after joining GMA talent search Starstruck. Although she did not win in the said competition, she was given opportunities in showbiz.
In a recent interview Sarap, ‘Di Ba?, the lifestyle/talk show of Carmina Villarroel, Katrina shared that during her early years in showbiz, she was a hardheaded one.
Carmina asked her guest what she could tell her younger self when she was still starting her career in showbiz. Katrina Halili said that wished she listened to what she was told to do during her Starstruck days.
“Sana nakinig siya. Kasi marami siyang matututunan sana,” Katrina said. She explained that back then, she could have learned lessons in acting, hosting, and other aspects of showbiz.
“Tinuturuan, ayaw niya e. ‘Di siya nakikinig. Matigas ulo niya, marami sana siyang matututunan. Pero proud pa rin ako sa kaniya,” she said about her younger self.
Katrina said that she was just shy back then and people often perceived that she has a strong personality. With what she went through, Katrina said that she is thankful that GMA never left her side.
“Ang suwerte ko lang, Ate Mina, kasi hindi sumuko ‘yung GMA sa akin,” the actress said. She was still given projects and through this, her talent was enhanced. Katrina Halili said that she was given good projects and was able to work with good artists. “Natuto na lang din ako,” she said.
Meanwhile, early this year, Katrina went through a tough time in her personal life. Her non-showbiz partner Jeremy Guiab passed away. The actress first opened up about her love life last year via King Of Talk Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk.
