Young Man Endangers Life by Poking Pimple on His Nose
PIMPLE – A young man learned a hard lesson after putting his life in danger by poking a pimple on his nose.
Pimples, those annoying little bumps that can pop up on our faces, are a common issue that many people face. They often appear when our pores get clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria.
While they’re not usually dangerous, they can be uncomfortable and affect our confidence.
Pimples, those pesky little bumps that show up on our skin, can be annoying and sometimes tempting to poke or squeeze. However, doing so can be quite risky and lead to various problems.
Manipulating a pimple can cause inflammation, making it appear larger and more noticeable. Inflamed pimples can also be more painful and take longer to heal.
On March 25, 2024, a pimple grew on the nose of a 17-year-old boy in Dumaguete City. Unfortunately, he accidentally hit his nose and the pimple immediately grew bigger and developed pus.
Trying to deal with the problem, the man forcefully squeezed his nose to get rid of the pus and blood. After a few days, the young man started experiencing headaches, and his nose turned worse in color.
When the remedies he took didn’t help, his mother rushed him to the hospital. But before they could reach the emergency room, he collapsed.

Dermatologist Dr. Grace Carole Beltran considers the nose and upper lip area as a “danger zone” or “triangle of death.” If untreated and not brought to the hospital promptly, the infection could reach the brain, possibly leading to death.
As of this writing, the victim is still undergoing treatment at the hospital.
