President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos exchanged vows on April 17, 1993, within the premises of the San Francesco Convent situated in Fiesole, Italy. They are blessed with three sons: Ferdinand Alexander Marcos, serving as Senior Deputy Majority Leader, Joseph Simon Marcos, and William Vincent Marcos.
In a recent vlog post from February, the First Couple disclosed their routine of setting aside time for a weekly date night.
Within the same video, Bongbong Marcos emphasized the importance of face-to-face communication for couples, citing it as a fundamental element for a strong relationship.
On Monday, Marcos Jr. acknowledged missing two scheduled dates with his spouse, First Lady Liza Marcos, expressing his determination to compensate for the missed opportunities.
Responding to queries during an ambush interview in Bacolod City regarding his commitment to date nights with the First Lady, the President shared, “Dalawa na miss namin ang date namin. So, kailangan akong mag-ano, kailangan akong babawi pag-balik ko galing sa States. Nagtatampo na sa akin.”
Based on a report from Inquirer, Marcos is scheduled for a trilateral meeting with President Joe Biden and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida in the United States from April 11 to 13, promising to prioritize making amends for the missed dates upon his return.
The First Couple experienced flu-like symptoms after their travels to Germany and the Czech Republic for official engagements, comprising a working visit and a state visit, respectively.
