Randy Santiago shared this story about Kris Aquino
Singer Randy Santiago shared that he was the JS prom date of Queen of all Media Kris Aquino when she was in her third year in high school.
There was a time when Randy and Kris were so close. Because of their closeness when they were younger, it was rumored that Randy courted Kris, based on the article in Bandera.
In a recent interview on King of Talk Boy Abunda’s Fast Talk, Randy shared that moment when he became Kris’s date during her JS prom.
The singer said that it was a happy experience but it was also nerve wracking for him. “Ang nanay niya Presidente ng Pilipinas eh, si Ma’am Cory (Aquino). Pagkatapos, sinundo ko siya sa Arlegui, it was her third year, junior prom,” Randy Santiago shared.
When Tito Boy asked the singer if there was a point when he courted Kris, he said, “Hindi na po.” He added that he was the shy type. On the other hand, Randy admitted that Diamond Star Maricel Soriano and Concert Queen Pops Fernandez became his girlfriends.
Now, Randy shared that he and Pops would just laugh at their past relationship. They were just 18 years old back then. “Kinulit ko lang, ‘Hi! Achu-chu-chu…’ mga ganu’n. Hindi ba naikuwento niya, sa telepono lang kami naging mag-boyfriend,” he shared.
The singer said that he was not even able to hold Pop’s hands. In an episode of Fast Talk in February, Pops admitted about her past relationship with Randy. He also shared that his and Maricel’s relationship lasted almost a year. They worked together in the movie Taray at Teroy in 1988.
Meanwhile, in a previous interview, Randy Santiago shared the story behind his “kirat” eyes. She said that had a cyst in his eyes when he was in Grade 2. He had surgery twice and had to be in Grade 2 thrice.
