Pia Wurtzbach Chose Not To Have Kids Right Away W/ Jeremy Jauncey
PIA WURTZBACH – Filipina model, actress, and beauty queen Pia Wurtzbach shared why there’s no baby yet with her husband Jeremy Jauncey.
In a previous article, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach revealed the struggles she faced as half-Filipina. She said she was bashed for being “too tall” during her Binibining Pilipinas journey, she was labeled as “short” when preparing for the Miss Universe competition.
The 34-year-old celebrity shared this during her recent “Sayang? No, I’m worth it” campaign launch of international beauty brand L’Oreal Paris in Intramuros, Manila.
When Pia tied the knot with Jeremy Jauncey, a Scottish-Colombian travel and social media entrepreneur, and they opted to postpone starting a family, the actress and beauty queen encountered a fresh wave of “sayang” remarks.
“Nu’ng kinasal naman ako, ‘Naku, kailan ka ba magkakaanak? Sayang ang lahi! Your biological clock is ticking,” Pia recounted one comment.
Jeremy serves as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Instagram and Snapchat travel and lifestyle community, Beautiful Destinations. Consequently, he and Pia lead a jet-setting lifestyle, frequently traveling and spending time apart.
“Lagi kaming nag-tra-travel ni Jeremy so obviously, lagi kaming magkahiwalay, hindi kami magkasama,” Pia hinted at the reasons behind their delay in starting a family.
“Sa mga mata ng mga tao, ang mga babaeng nag-aasawa na, dapat nasa bahay na lang, lay low na sa career, slow down ka na. Tsaka asikasuhin mo ‘yung asawa mo. Sayang,” she narrated.
During a sit-down interview with Philstar.com and other select press following the event, Pia disclosed that after accomplishing her immediate goals, such as her advocacies and her new venture as an international fashion influencer, she and Jeremy plan to start a family. However, she envisions herself shuttling between Manila and Dubai, where Jeremy’s business is headquartered.
“When you’re young, you care too much about what other people think,” Pia remarked during her speech.
“If there’s anything people should probably know about me by now, is that the more you tell me ‘No,’ the more I’m going to try to prove you wrong. Don’t tell me I can’t do something because that is the sure way for me to try to make it happen. Nothing fuels me more than negativity – bashers, naysayers, people who diminish my efforts and my worth, people who diminish my worth,” she addressed critics, including those who criticize her for not yet having a child.
