Kathryn Bernardo was generous enough to share what she went through when the breakup happened. “When it happened, I still had to honor my professional commitment,” the actress said.

She said that just like other human beings, she went through the process, such as feeling the pain. However, she did not let this affect her work. The actress shared that her management would send a monthly calendar filled with her commitments and she has no time to dwell on the pain she was feeling.

Kathryn said that she was not pretending but she did not want people to see her in a pitiful state. “But it was very personal, and I didn’t want people to see me as a victim or to feel bad for me because it happened,” she said. At times, she would just ask her manager to let her rest for a few days to recharge.

When asked how she moved on, the actress said that she really doesn’t know how. “I actually don’t know because, first, I’ve never imagined myself being in this situation, and then, overcoming it. Depende. But distance is my way of protecting my peace,” she said.

Then, the Asia’s Superstar was asked about her views on forgiveness. She said that this is such a deep word. For her, she would forgive people who deserve her forgiveness but this does not mean that she will have a connection with that person.

But when I forgive you, it doesn’t mean that I have to keep you in my life. I forgive you for my peace of mind, for clarity, and for everything. But it doesn’t mean na puwede kang bumalik. It depends. I’ll just keep my distance; you keep your distance. We’re okay like that. I mean, kunwari, I got hurt, why would I allow you to come back? It depends. It’s a case-to-case basis,” Kathryn Bernardo said.

She also shared her reaction to people’s perception that her fit figure now is her “revenge body.” The actress that it is not like that because she believes that revenge is “like you’re proving yourself.” For her, it was just magnified but she has always been working out and wearing clothes that flaunt her body.
