Paolo Contis was asked to react to the new noontime show on GMA
Kapuso actor Paolo Contis shared his thoughts on the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime as a replacement for their discontinued show Tahanang Pinakamasaya.
Paolo led the defunct Kapuso noontime show produced by TAPE Inc, which previously handled Eat Bulaga. Early this month, the show had an emotional closing spiel. This made viewers think that it was their last episode.
Eventually, TAPE Inc and GMA released a statement confirming that Tahanang Pinakamasaya would be discontinued, and it was rumored that It’s Showtime would occupy the noontime slot on GMA. The Kapamilya noontime show has already been airing on GTV since last year.
On March 20, the historic contract signing between It’s Showtime and GMA Network happened which dissolved the so-called network war. This gave the show a wider audience.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Paolo Contis was asked if he is open to the possibility of working with the hosts of the Kapamilya noontime show. āOo, work is work,āĀ he said.
Paolo pointed out that some of the hosts are his friends like Ogie Alcasid who also spent many years in the Kapuso gag show Bubble Gang. The Kapuso actor also shared that he is happy for the Kapamilya show. āAnd Iām very happy na mayroon silang lugar,ā Paolo said.
Meanwhile, Paolo Contis has previously addressed the rumor that he has “tampo” to GMA Network. He stressed in a statement that there is no truth to this because he will forever be grateful to GMA for the support he continues to receive from his home network.
The Kapuso actor, on the other hand, has a “request” to the public when it comes to Bubble Gang. He wants the gag show to reach its 50th year because they weren’t able to do this for Tahanag Pinakamasaya.
