Cristine Reyes Opens Up About Age Gap Between Her & Boyfriend Marco Gumabao
CRISTINE REYES – Actress Cristine Reyes opened up about the age gap between her and her boyfriend Marco Gumabao.
It’s been close to a year since Cristine Reyes and Marco Gumabao made their relationship public. Just in case you didn’t know, they have a six-year age gap, with Cristine at 35 and Marco set to turn 30 this year.
In a recent vlog by Luis Manzano, Cristine discussed how she deliberated over their age difference before fully committing to their relationship. She mentioned that there are noticeable differences in levels of maturity between them, emphasizing the typical divergence in maturity rates between men and women.
Reflecting on the genesis of their relationship in the same vlog, Cristine shared that it began innocently enough with joint workouts, initially assuming it was just a friendly activity, particularly since they were also accompanied by Jake Cuenca. However, circumstances led to them spending more time together, eventually leading to the development of deeper feelings.
“Akala ko barkadahan lang ‘yun kasi we were with Jake Cuenca pa noon,” Cristine said. “Then, all of a sudden, si Jake napunta na sa Cebu kasi nag-t-taping.”
“Naiwan kaming dalawa ni Marco, so instead na ma-workout ‘yung physical health namin, na-workout ‘yung feelings namin,” she added.

Additionally, Cristine Reyes highlighted Marco’s admirable qualities, particularly his strong family values and faith, as aspects she appreciates the most about him.
Their relationship became public on Instagram in April 2023, and they further discussed their journey together in a vlog featuring Bea Alonzo.
Cristine also disclosed in February that she and her former husband, Ali Khatibi, have been legally separated for over a year. They share a daughter named Amarah.
