Claudine Barretto was asked about her love life
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto reacted to rumors linking her to her Lovers/Liars co-star Yasser Marta.
Claudine’s love life was one of the questions she answered in a recent interview. Because of her blooming aura, the actress was asked if she is in a relationship right now. To recall, she has been separated from her estranged husband actor Raymart Santiago.

When asked if she is ready to fall in love now, Claudine Barretto said if that person comes into her life, so be it, but she has a different priority right now. “Kung darating, darating. Pero, ang priority ko ay ang mga anak ko. Hindi baleng mag-isa ako sa buhay balang araw, basta mabigay ko lang ang buhay na gusto nila,” she said.
The actress said that her kids expressed their desire to study abroad and have certain businesses, and she wants to be there for them. Claudine stressed that at the moment, she is not yet ready to share herself and her love with another person because she is focused on her children.
When asked about the role of Yasser Marta in her life, the actress laughed and said that the actor is not courting her. Then, she said that the actor is a kind man.
“Not for anything, pero napakabuti niyang bata, magaling siyang umarte. Naging very close siya sa mga anak ko,” she said. The actress also mentioned that Yasser spent the New Year with them. The actor was with his mother and sibling.
“Sa Marikina lang sila nag-i-stay. Sometimes, nandun lang siya sa bahay with the kids. Kung minsan nagmu-mall sila ng mga bata, ‘yun ay kung wala ako,” she shared.
Claudine Barretto also said that people just started shipping perhaps because their characters in ‘Lovers/Liars’ were each other’s love interest but she stressed that the actor is not pursuing her.
“Hindi ko naramdaman kung nagkagusto siya sa akin. Ang self esteem ko kasi very-very low talaga. Hindi ko alam kung nagkakagusto ba sa akin, o nanliligaw ba, hindi ko talaga alam,” she said, adding that Yasser Marta told her that she is his crush but it did not reach to courting stage.
