Dennis Trillo is excited to do a challenging role
Kapuso drama king Dennis Trillo talked about being a “kontrabida” in his upcoming series Pulang Araw with Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards.
Dennis is one of the most sought-after leading men in GMA. As a Kapuso, he already done many hit teleseryes which proved his versatility in acting. However, there are still certain roles that Dennis wishes to do.
One of the roles that give him extra excitement is being the antagonist to Alden’s character in their upcoming series.
Based on the article in Bandera, Dennis Trillo will play the character of a Japanese soldier who will the life of Alden’s character difficult. The actor said that he is excited to share the same screen with Alden in a series.
They had the chance to work together before but it was in a variety show but they haven’t had an intense scene together yet and this makes him excited.
Dennis is also excited to be reunited with his Maria Clara at Ibarra co-stars Barbie Forteza and David Licauco, as well as with his Cain at Abel co-star Sanya Lopez.
The actor pointed out that it is a dream come true for him to play the antagonist role in the series. He said that he has been waiting for this kind of project for a long time now. On the other hand, the actor admitted that he feels pressured when it comes to his performance.
“May konting pressure pero mas doon ako sa importansya sa pagkakaroon ko ng challenge bilang artists,” the husband of Jennylyn Mercado shared.
Dennis Trillo also stressed that with all the roles he has done in the past, he has been wanting to play the role that would make him think and explore. “Sa dami na ng nagawa ko, kailangan ko ng isang mabigat na role na mag-iisip ako at pag-iisipan ko bawat kilos, bawat galaw, bawat dialogue, excited ako sa ganu’n,” the actor explained.
